Just logged in for the first time last turkey season. Let's get 'er done again this year!

Driving across Indiana right now on my way to out Nt'l Sales Meeting and just saw a big flock with several strutters in it.

 

Ohh Snap!! I'm here still as well!! Let's do it again!!!!

 

I still have another month before my two seasons start, though I'm thinking based on my cams I'm only hunting in one ST as my MA place shows no turkeys on anything and I know my CT places have turkeys.

 

I heard several gobble Sunday morning, but they wouldn't leave the hens. Maybe I will have better luck this weekend

 

Find the trails they are taking.. they are walking through something to somewhere, there has to be a pinch point somewhere in the area you can hunt.

 

Well 4 of us are here, when should we ask for alts?

 

Give it a bit of time... I can PM some of the other guys as well, and I'm friends with a couple on FB too I think.

Let's see who all we're still missing... season's starting to open a few places now so we may need to tell Ol' Danno we may need an alternate or two. I highlighted the guys in red who've already checked in... still waiting on the guys in black so far. Anyone friends with those four who wanna give them a nudge?

My boys and I will be leaving out Tuesday morning for Kansas, so hopefully I'll get a chance to get us on the board next week... though I typically wait and enter a MO bird for the contest as they're usually quite a bit heavier. Even so, I like hunting Kansas more... partly because I get to fellowship with a great friend and hunting partner, and I also think the turkeys display a great combination by and large there: they're dumber (or at least more aggressive), and there's more of them. I'll take that pairing any day of the week.

Hello gentlemen! Started a new job recently mixed with running out to Iowa to scout for my first archery hunt I haven't been very active on BH.com. Been shooting the bow in the basement at night to keep the muscle memory in check. I only have a weeklong IL turkey tag this year beginning 4/27 with no availability to take any days off so I'll be at a little disadvantage this year.

 

A week's plenty for ya buddy... we have faith in you!

Its been a minute since I last visited this forum, but I'm ready to repeat last years success! I will be going out next Friday for the first time this year. Plenty of birds in my area so I have high hopes. Good luck dudes!

Danno, looks like we're gonna need two alternates.

 

Sorry I haven't kept the team updated much recently ... IL youth season was a couple weekends ago now and we had four good encounters on that Sunday but came up empty.

Been in Kansas for the last week and both boys have tagged out now as of this morning ... got tonight and tomorrow morning to get it done here and then the MO season opens up in another week.
