Things are going well so far. I have been shooting a little, seems like it is always very windy here so that is an adjustment. I found some public land about an hour from here but haven't had a chance to visit it yet. Most people here hunt private land (as already mentioned in this thread) so nobody can really give me an opinion on it.
I guess "found" was the wrong word. I guy that lives in Weatherford told me to check into LBJ Grasslands & Davy Crockett National forest. He hunts private land but suggested them as a place to start.
