What kind do you guys use? I just picked up a work sharp. Got it on clearance at tractor supply. So far it's seams to be pretty good.

You got one of the best. Wish that I could find one on sale.

I had heard about it from my uncles friend. So I shopped around. Found a close store that carried them. Seen it on clearance and right away my fiancé said get it.

I use lansky's diamond set and finish with ceramics. Wicked Edge is probably the best system I've seen but you will pay $$$$$

Edge Pro Apex for serious profiling and a Spyderco Sharpmaker for touch ups.

All those fancy knife sharpeners can stay on the shelf as far as I am concerned. I have never used anything besides a couple Arkansas stones and honing oil. Different hardness for different knives, or the hard one for final edging. Finish up with a ceramic steel. Have used packing house knives for the last 40 years and a Buck for the initial skinning on deer.

I've always used my large diamond sharpening stone a old boss gave to me when I worked for him doing mechanical insulation. Needed it to sharpen my fillet knives for work. Still does a perfect job but now I finish the process on a ceramic steel rod.
