NY Hunting??

    I am attending SUNY Cobleskill and was wondering if anyone knew of any areas to hunt in the area?

    any help would be appreciated.

    Shouldn't have any trouble finding places to hunt in the Cobleskill area. Network on the campus and you will find some property. If you want some decent state ground go west towards richmondville and you will find some decent state land.

    I agree with trial, look at the pieces of state land to the west, one I used to hunt that was pretty good during bow season, if I remember correctly, was called Hooker mountain near Schenevus. Finding access to private land shouldn't be that difficult either, just ask around. I actually got a great place to hunt, and a few hot dates, from a waitress in a diner in Cobelskill (Back when I was single of course!)

    I hunt New Lebanon and Hillsdale... lots of deer Hillsdale... hit or miss finding a spot though..

    I do a little bit of hunting up at a friends farm near goshen. Last year was my first year hunting it and it hadn't been hunted in 10 years. There were deer everywhere and a ton of big bucks.

    I believe there is some state land over on Blenheim (sp?) Mountain...I used to hunt there as a kid.
