Below is the new bill proposed to allow Sunday bow hunting on private land in CT. The one huge catch is that you will not be allowed to hunt within 40 yards of any blazed trail. That means that if a blazed trail runs along the land you hunt on you will not be allowed to hunt with 40 yards or 120 ft. In my opinion it is not worth the tradeoff, we should not allow ourselves to be bullied into allowing more rules to be passed on how we use our own land. Please write to your reps regardless of whether you are for or against this bill.

    Thanks,
    Bruce Conroy

Bruce, I agree that this " no hunting 40 yards from a blazed trail" is bull. However, being able to hunt on sunday would be outstanding as most people work Monday through friday and can only hunt Saturday and sunday and in some cases every other weekend only. If this is turned down for the "Blaze" rule then how long before it is revised and brought to the floor again. I think that passing the law as is may be a good start.
