KS public land question

    How many of you guys from KS hunt on the Byron Walker management area ?

    I've hunted multiple public land areas in Ks, never with any success. There were some great plots around me but I could tell it has a lot of pressure.

    As a lifetime resident, yes it's true the pressure around here public and private has become a huge problem as of the last 6 years it's become more and more evident! With that said we own and farm over 3500 acres and it's ridiculous the pressure we get around here

    I'm not familiar with that particular piece of state ground, but my advice would be to find a county in the eastern half of the state, and get as rural as you can. The public ground near us sees very little bowhunting pressure, gun season is another story.
