I've been thinking about hunting a third state and I think it will be Nebraska. I have a hunting area in mind but I'm not dead set on it. If any of you guys are open to helping, just post and I'll send you a PM. Specifically western half guys, but, like I said, I'm not dead set on the area. Thanks.
I am from Sidney, and while I no longer live there year round I do know a decent amount about the area. Feel free to message me.
I've been thinking about Nebraska as well. Seems like an absolute blast to hunt there. Guess whitetails are a little trickier to come by on public land, though.
I live in Lincoln And hunt all around the SE part of the state. I hunt all private stuff but there is a lot of public ground around this part of the state but you have to do your scouting to find places that don't get hunted real hard. If you are bowhunting you can find some pretty good deer before the gun season. The deer numbers are real good around here so finding them is pretty easy.
Like whitetailfreak said, spend your time scouting and you'll be in good shape. I hunt strictly public in SE Nebraska and have had great luck after a lot of scouting for low pressure properties. Out west doesn't get near as much pressure but when gun season comes around, it can be tough hunting on public land
I live in broken bow nebraska and public land is not the best for big whitetails but they are there calamus region has big deer personally I hunt private land and just this Sunday I took a 160+/- lb whitetail doe. Where in pa do you live originally from Allegheny mts
I'm thinking about heading to Ne on Halloween for 5 days to hunt some public land. I've been to the Chadron area turkey hunting but don't really want to drive quite that far this time. Is there any areas in the northeast 1/4 of the state anybody could recommend?
