Anyone already have your vacation days marked on the calendar? Look's like our group is going with Nov. 7-12

I took the week of Oct 30-Nov5th and then Nov 9th-12th. I have a few days left and may use them if no emergencies come up before then.

I'm off Oct 29th-Nov2th then Nov 4th - Nov 14th. I've got a few days for b4 or after those dates for weather/conditions permitting.

I have 12 days left to use this year. I'm playing t by ear. Once the action gets going I will be off for 4-5 days.

Pending on who you believe as every "expert" has an opinion on this subject. The moon guys are leaning towards a later rut in November this year for the northern US (the south is too complicated for me to even think about...especially FL!). Personally, I schedule my vacation times based on the info I gathered the previous year. For where I hunt in the midwest, I WILL be in a tree Nov 7-11th!! Best of luck

I don't care about the rut anymore. The rut is more like hit or miss

mature bucks are mostly nocturnal during the rut. Some bucks wander out of ur hunting area. When the 1st or 2nd full week of November comes by in the midwest. its time to pick a wild card. If a decent 3yr old 8 pt comes out in bow range first. I'd recommend tagging it. Same with a p&y or b&c. Whichever comes out in bowrange.
