Well with under 60 days till opening day are y'all ready? Archery deer tags go on sale to residents on Aug 1st. Tree stand is up, cameras are firing away, practicing the recurve daily at least a little. The time is ticking down. This year is all about traditional for me. KS is known for long range rifle hunting but shooting traditional forces you to be at your best, up close and personal. No sights, no fiber optics, no let-off, just a loud heartbeat and a deer under 20yards away!! Game day is getting close!!
I'm in the process of getting ready. I need to shoot some more and stomp around a little bit more. Hopefully, I have time this fall. I think the first two weeks of the season are already messed up for me unfortunately.
Well I'm under 60 days also here in wet soggy mosquito infested Florida. If it wasn't for thermacells it would definitely be unbearable.....going to kansas 3rd week of November ....that's the big countdown for me.....burning up the practice target for the last month with the new carbon spyder Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not ready yet but there's plenty of time to get ready and legal. If I run out of time to be ready and legal, like a good Kansan...I'll do'er ready and illegal. Obviously I'm kidding, I'll be ready with tags in hand in KS and MO just like last year.
