This winter has been very cold and lots of snow... what is everyone doing to make sure their heard has enough food for the winter? I've heard of guys dropping corn and throwing out alfalfa bales..? What does everything think? Located in Mid-Western Wisconsin.

Winter has been super cold here in VT, but snow was not bad until 2 weeks ago....now it's real bad, deep snow with crust on top...deer killer for sure....we can't do much here since feeding is illegal, but I've already gone out on family land and cut down several maples and hemlock....they've been browsed heavily.
