I will be joining the Iowa bowhunting fun this year. I am going to school at Iowa State University and was able to find a private spot to hunt that is close. Hoping to harvest a nice Iowa buck. Got a good trail cam picture of one nice buck that may be on the hitlist.

I got some cam pictures yesterday got to bucks that did some sparing. Nine days to go guys should be a great year for us.Got my video camera cleaned and ready also.

Hey! Thought I'd join into the Iowa fun! I'm 16 and live up north by Mason City. Will be my first ever season bowhunting and STOKED for the 6th (school during weekdays). Anyone else live up north central Iowa?
Wednesday will be my first day in the stand. I set up a work appointment late Tuesday without thinking about opening day. I'm an idiot! Bentarrow.....Yellow River area is a nice area. If you haven't checked out effigy mounds that is a neat place to hike around to kill some time and see some great views from the bluffs of the Mississippi River. I'm assuming you have probably been there.
Going to be a hot opening day here in Iowa tomorrow may have to sit it out the upper 80's but we'll have to see. So good luck guys.
