    Only a week left boys before killin time.......
    What everyone's feelings on the opener, weather, changing patterns, etc, considered....
    I'm seeing a ton of changes in my deer activity right now in the east central part of the state, how about ya'll???

    I'll let you know later today when I check my cams. My deer started changing a couple weeks ago, so I deployed my entire Covert fleet onto the property (10 Coverts on 640 acres). If they are on the properly, I'll have them on camera :tu:

    My feeling is there will be two less Kansas MONSTER'S running around after Pat and I get there :p

    I'm in eastern KS right on the MO line...
    My deer have mostly shed velvet and are still changing coats but nearly done. Bucks are still running together here as of yesterday (at least the young ones) I haven't see nany scrapes or rubs yet. Fawns are nearly grown and have nearly no spots on them.

    im get back to kansas next week and havent been able to scout are check anything out this year, due to a 6 month doployment that started in april. any info that happened to the deer this year would be great, how are they acting to all the rain this summer? anything stange?

    Nothin out of the ordinary. Activity is picking up some although so far primarily at night.

    Same here, I've killed 3 at night and not near as much movement at night

    Yeah ive shot 3 does so far, 2 with a muzzloader and one with my bow. mornings havent been active near as much where I hunt

    I need to look around more, I have over looked this thread for a while.

    I'm seeing fewer deer this year than normal, makes me think the drought has thinned them out some. still plenty of hunters though.

    Went out tonight and all the deer came out at or after legal shooting light. I think its the moon

    Same thing I saw night before last. Morning hunts have been better for me during this moon cycle.

    rut is starting, I saw a buck all up in a does' business tonight. He would not let her get more than about 20 feet from him.
