Hunting is going well up here. I have the most deer i have ever gotten in one season, 4. only two with the bow, 1 muzzle loader and one shotgun. From this point on I am just taking the longbow...i think. I have 1 either sex tag and one antlerless only tag left. Alex
Donnie, where in the Old Dominion do you live? I was reading a post of yours about how little meat you got back from processing. I live in Stafford and use Bentley's processing in Faqeer county. The first deer i took in there this year dressed at 75 lbs and I got 33lbs back. now that is bone in on the roast and chops. heck i think my button buck last year, dressed at 55lbs, i got at least 20lbs back. It is kinda pricey, $70 for the standard cut: roast, steakes, chops and ground, additional $3.99/lbs for sausage, but for me it is the convinience of how close she is to home. Alex
