the one thing i will tell you that is critical to success is practice! i've been shooting archery since i was 5 but just started bowhunting and realized i needed to practice at distances far beyond the 30 yards i was used to. and after only 5 weeks of practice i can hit a tennis ball at 80 yards.

darryl, all i need to know is your set up, the distances your comfortable shooting at, and if your alright hiking a lot!

no problem darryl i just started bowhunting but have been firearm hunting white tails and pretty much every game in NJ, i can help with whatever you need to know.
