Sorry, not used to these. No - I've realized that blade sharpness is VERY important through some differnet tests I've been doing. I think the best test for a broadhead is to slam them into a whitetail and see what happens!
hello Todd i been hunting with one of your newest team members Brandon Phipps. since about the 5th grade. i have looked at alot of your reveiws on bowhuntingl.com i really like your broadhead review about the Piston point. it looks like you really put the broadhead to the test in various situations. I have been thinking about making a broadhead testing block made with balistics gel with wooden dowels inserted along both sides to act as the ribs, but only doing this about half way so hard angled shots can be taken in a real life situation. Also rapping this with a tanned hide so it will have more of a realistic texture. i would like to know what you think about this idea and how well you think will work my main concern is that the gel will grip the arrow and it will lose the energy for a pass thru.
