I am 15 and I have shot four deer so far in my life. First a small 7 pointer (gun) next small nubbin buck (gun). The next opportunity i had was to shoot a big doe with bow. It was the first deer i had in front of me with a bow in my hand. I rushed the shot and missed. Next I shot a big doe (gun). Then i got an opportunity to shoot a little 8 pointer with a bow. I pulled back and didn't get it all they way back and was too nervous and hit the release and the aarow went right over the deer. I was really mad but went out later that day and harvested a big doe with my gun for youth season. I am yet to kill a deer with bow.
