If you live near a Menards & they sell stands watch for them to mark them down as your local seasons wrap up. We've bought a lot of their ladder stands over the years. They used to sell a Big Dog double ladder stand that we like a lot. Worked great for my son & I when he was young & we both love having all the extra room to move around freely now that we hunt alone. Unfortunately the Menards around the Twin Cities (MN) only carry a double ladder with half-platform this season. Have lots of buddies who have bought Big Dog double rail single ladders. I've sat in them & they are a great value & love their wide ladders, oversized seat & full platform. Don't like most of the stands they're selling today as they all have small platforms I despise - especially for bowhunting! We do have our eye on a new single ladder they added this year with a full-sized platform & a web sling seat. I think it is called the Viper. Wish you could climb up on display model & try it out but they don't allow. Not a bad deal at $130 sale price - if seat is Ok. We'll grab one if they don't sell out & really discount them during next 1-2 months. If anyone has tried one of these we'd love to hear what you think! If we end up buying one we'll share our thoughts as well! Good luck!
