Hey Boof, got my BH rifle buck today! Its a 5x5 with some extra points. I think he will go about 128 or so. Been brutely cold the last 3 days. It was my fourth hike of the day and I jumped him out of his bed. He stopped about 80 yrds out and left me a small lane thru some trees. I made a perfect heart shot and he piled up 50 yrds away. Had to pull him up an old logging road with my game cart, man was that a chore!
Hey Boof, had any luck lately? Me and a buddy hunted Slim Buttes and glassed 3 nice shooter mulies. One was a 27 inch 3x3. saw a heavy 4 whitetail also. My local spots have been slow. I hope this cooler weather will start some buck movement. Is your name Spencer? I saw you, I think, in a Field and Stream article with your 2011 buck. Very cool, and nice buck!
How goes your season so far Boof? Have you seen your #1 buck at all? I got 6 good bucks on trailcam this summer but haven't seen one of them yet. Had 2 of them pattered on a water hole until some damn cows were moved into the area. Then the BLM is replacing fence all over the place, and yesterday I could hear chainsaws close by. I have a hills rifle tag this year so I took plenty of vacation time in November. Can't wait!
