Hey everyone. I am new to hunting this year in Kansas. I was continually deployed and in the field over the past 8 years so i was never able to get to hunters safety. I am now disabled and have finally gotten the class. I hope to learn a lot from the hunters on here especially crossbow hunters.

Good luck in the woods. Whenever possible, keep the wind in your face when deer hunting. It's not pleasant in the cold of Kansas, I expect, but nothing gets a hunter busted by deer quicker than his scent. Pay attention to wind direction when preparing for a hunt and adjust accordingly.

Thanks for keeping us safe, sir.

Thank you for your service and welcome to the addiction. Glad to see that you didn't let a disability become an inability. Best of luck and all the respect.
