New to everything. My son took the archery merit badge this year at summer camp and he was hooked. He has bugging me to "do the hunting" for a couple years now, and since he is finally old enough were in. I have hunted with guns, but never bows so there is a learning curve for both of us. We have a couple bows, a blind, and now some new scentlok cammies (thanks again for the tip!) so were about ready to go. Next week we get the broad heads and we will be ready to go for sept 15. Opening day for bear here so were going to wander in and see what we see. It is a very feeble attempt at a bear to be honest, but i figure it gives us some great time to scout deer for OCT 1 and get used to our stuff in the woods for a couple weeks. Anywho, best of luck out there, and hopefully we can at least see some awesomeness.
Good luck to you and your son. Great memories are about to happen and you're going to get to live them. Remember..................................... "A bad day hunting, (whatever that is) is better than ANY day at work!!!!!"
