Hello every one, 30 Years ago I lived for bow hunting and was familiar with every piece of equipment that was new on the market. However I chose to take white tails with a Bear Kodiak Magnum, no sights and those fancy releasees did not exist. I lost my grandfather and also my will to hunt, I just could not go hunting without him. Time moved on and so did the technology of bow hunting. Now I am a grandfather and I want to give my grandson what my grandfather gave me (He has filled my head with the greatest memories). I want to get back into archery with my grandson, so my question is does anyone have advice on a new bow for a second beginning.
Good for you getting your grandson into hunting. All modern day bows are good. It probably would be a good idea to go to a pro shop not a big box store with your grandson and just shoot every bow they have. Take it slow and don't get in a hurry.
Like Deerhunter 28 said, go shoot as many as you can. Mission bows are very good bows to look at. They are easily adjustable and are built very well.
Welcome to the site and back to bowhunting! I'd suggest going to a local proshop or two and getting your hands on some different bows
Welcome back... glad you are returning to the sport and have the desire to share your experiences you cherished with your grandfather w/ your grandchild! that is what it is all about.... good stuff
