Hello all. Found out about the site via the Bowhunt or Die show on my Roku. I've been a gun hunter my entire life and just got into bowhunting last year. After a few unsuccessful trips out, finally connected with my first deer. It wasn't a world beater of a buck, but I'm hooked. It was a perfect 22 yard shot that saw the deer run 10 yards and double back and die right next to where the arrow passed through. You'll get a lot of questions out of me as no one in my family bowhunts and I do not have any nearby resources that do either. I'm pretty much learning as I go and reading everything I can when I can. Is there a section of the site that members can post maps to have others take a look if they have questions? I'm thinking of bowhunting my gun property, but there are a few challenges that have me stumped in terms of getting in/out quietly on foot. During gun season, we have a UTV that does the job fairly well, but that's when crops are already out. I'd like to see if any of you guys have an idea of an alternate route.
Welcome to the site and bowhunting! Ton's of very knowledgeable people on the site that I am sure can answer any question or questions your going to have!
I've been a gun hunter for 16 years. This past season was my first real bow hunt and I'm hooked. I can't see giving it up now. It's a new challenge and gets me out of the house more often, so win win.
