Incredible. I read once that in the old days if any one was caught hunting the "kings deer" they were hung with the very string on their bow. No one was allowed to hunt but the King. Any truth to that?
It was the law at the time, poaching was very big and so were the penalties. That was, of course, way before my time. I live very close to Barnsdale and Loxley but Robin Hood is long gone
Lol that was way before anyone's time my friend. Realistically that was probably before the time of everyone here combined.
