We visited our daughter and her family when our son-in-law was stationed at Ramstein, AFB. All of our grandchildren were born in Landstoul (sp). We traveled all over western Germany from above K-town to Bavaria. Best golf course I've ever played on was in Heidelburg... awesome course. Shot 3 over on the front 9! It was like playing on a carpet. We stayed at the Hotel VonStuben in Bavaria, traveled the Rhine River and visited several castles, and stayed with a national couple in Frankfort. It was a wonderful experience... my wife and I didn't want to come home. Oh... and I saw deer while driving on the Autobahn one evening. Our son-in-law grew up in Germany (USAF 'brat') and said in all that time he never saw a deer... and I see two of them on the 3rd day there (got to look for 'em man... hehe).

Bitta' ein Bit??? Love that stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Hunting my friend... shoot straight!

Welcome. I spent 18 months in Germany while in the army. Based in Bamberg but spent several months on the border at Coberg. I didn't take nearly enough advantage of the opportunities I had to see the beautiful country. Young and dumb at the time I guess. It would be fun to visit again someday.
