Just wanted to introduce myself before I go off asking lots of questions lol. I just bought my first bow last week. I've never killed a deer with a bow before. I just started rifle hunting last season and already I felt I wanted to get more personal with hunting and what way to get more personal than bow hunting right? I live on 160 acres in Northern California. We have turkey, wild pig, deer, coyote, bobcats and bear running around our woods so there's no lack of game animals. Unlike most of America, per California law, I am not allowed to plant food plots or set out game feeders or feed the deer in any way period. So basically I cannot improve my resident herd. And I can only hunt deer if I am DRAWN for a tag in my zone. lol So looks like I'll be doing a lot of traveling to do most of my hunting. But that's ok, new places new adventures! Anyway I now own a 2014 G5 Quest Rouge. Bought as a package deal with a stabilizer, arrow rest, quiver, and 5 pin sight for $499. I also bought a psck of G5 T-3 broadheads for the upcoming season. I've seen lots of YouTube footage of those things ripping golf ball size holes in deer so of course I'm convinced! I went to the archery range to zero in my sights but haven't got to shoot much for the past few days because of a big storm and lots of rain here. As soon as it stops, practice, practice, practice for me! Soo stoked to jump into this with both feet and put some venison in the freezers! Anyway my name is Mike and hopefully I'll here from you guys. Thanks. Later
How's it going? Trust me I'm borderline obsessed now lol. I found this forum from the bow hunt or die YouTube channel. I think I watched the entire 1st and 3rd season today! That's what those good rainy days are for! Thanks for the welcome!
it's going pretty well. tired. getting over a lung infection. hehe but looking forward to some ice fishing this weekend. need to get back outside to make me feel better.
Not being rude at all.Im Glad your feeling better! I hate colds! Me? I cannot complain at the moment. Things are going steadily well. I cannot wait to get back to shooting my bow after the rain.
