Hi Guys, My name is Carmen And I'm new to bowhunting & Bowhunting.com I have a few questions maybe someone can answer for me. I recently picked up a Bear WhiteTail 2 bow from a yard sale and I'm wondering if it's ok to learn on? I had it set up at a sporting goods store and they told me the bow is in great shape for the age, how old is it? I'm guessing 20-25yrs? It has a four pin sight and a drop away release to mention, I added a peep sight and an arrow quiver to it, but I'm wondering if I'm wasting my time? Does anyone have a copy of the manual? Please advise Carmen
Welcome! I currently hunt a little west of newburgh but my family has property in Marlboro which has some pretty big deer. I would address these questions on the bowhunting sub forum.
Welcome to the site! I too would suggest you post the questions in the proper forums. You'll get more help that way.
Welcome aboard...to answer your question...me personally I would upgrade to a newer bow thats just me with technolodgy being better..but you will get diferent answers Sent from my SCH-R530U using Tapatalk 2
Welcome to the site Carmen! Yes, you can effectively shoot and kill with an older bow. Never hurts to start saving up for a newer one though
Welcome to the addiction! I agree with the guys above, you can easily shoot well and hunt with an older bow, but I would keep inching towards upgrading. There is no rush for a brand new top-of-the-line bow when you are just starting. Good luck and shoot straight!
