I shoot a compound bow. Recently I have started smacking my bottom lip after release. Any thoughts or experiences with this?

My first thought would be your grip is causing you to to torque your bow. You could be gripping you r bow way too tight and also gripping your bow too far in on your thumb. Next it could be where you are anchoring and or the positioning of your head. It is easy to forget minor details in the off-season if you do not regularly shoot your bow.

It's hard to say with more details.

Which hand is hitting your mouth ?
    How do you anchor ?
    etc.

Are you hitting your lip with your hand or are is it hitting the string?

Hey y'all. Sorry for the delay. The string is smacking my lip not my hands. I anchor with my thumb on my jugular, for lack of better visual. I may have corrected it. I removed my kisser button. I think it was slipping and I was reaching for it which make my alignment off.

If your string is hitting your lip then your draw length is probably to long.

I'd have somebody look at your anchor point. Your head may also not be looking directly at the target too.
