I have a day off here and there in the next couple of weeks and plan to get into my stand. Is this a good time of year to rattle?

if you do rattle this early in the season, I would do it lightly. bucks aren't really aggressive right now, but they will occasionally play.

Where I hunt, the buck/doe ratio isn't all that favorable. As such, I generally am weary about rattling too early or too loud, fearful that the sound of unwarranted fight will chase deer away. I would be mindful of your heard before taking your horns out with you!
