    Greetings!

I'm new archery but have pretty good experience with firearms which is what prompts this questions.

When placing my bow sight pin on a target what am I focusing on? On a firearm sight it is front sight focus whereby the target is slightly blurry but the front sight is crystal clear in my vision. What I have been doing on the bow is to constantly switch between the two. Focus on the target and then focus on the pin and repeat.

    Thanks for the advice!

I flip between the two also but as you said that focusing on the front sight is the correct way.

Focus on the target. 100% of certified archery coaches and Pro level shooters teach this and do this.

I know the military teaches you to focus on the sight but but its the exact opposite in archery.
