Side rod

Here's a question. Can I use a side rod as front stabilizer? Somebody want to part with his 15" side rod and It seems to me that it'll make a good stabilizer for my hunting rig.

 

I dont see why not,as long as the threads on the back end are the same as on a regular stabilizer.

 

Yes there is no difference between a front and side rod
