First deer down

    Well, it's not much, but I harvested my first deer on my second hunt (ever). Funny thing is, I was hunting on the ground, no blind, and my buddy was in a stand about 50 yds south of me. He got a difficult shot on a doe and that spooked it's mate right into my shooting lane. Within 15 seconds, 2 deer down. They weren't big, but they sure do taste good!!!

    I wish my second hunt went like that, it took me 3 years to get a deer and I still couldn't eat it.. damn coyotes. anyway congrats
