    Howdy everyone,

I am a beginner to the sport and am planning on purchasing the 2013 Mathews ZXT and I was wondering what would be the accessories I would need and if you all could give some recommendations on sights, stabilizers, rests, and other things I may need that I am missing. I do not mind spending the money so please, all suggestion will be great. Thanks everyone. I really appreciate it.

Also I am thinking about buying a TACTACAM as my stabilizer. Do you guys use them or have you heard anything good or bad about them? Thanks again for the info.

I would find a local archery shop. For sight I would go with trophy ridge. rest I would use a QAD.

Thanks a lot. I noticed reading other post your from Norfolk. I am active duty navy corpsman I'm up in Hampton and the only place I found was a retailer of Mathews was Wilcox Bait and Tackle and they didn't have the ZXT in stock. Very limited around here and I'm not too sure I trust the guys at Bass Pro too much. I think because I told the guy I was just getting into the sport he tried to sell me on things like if I was a dummy. Thanks again for your help SGT.

Quiver: Mathews T-Series Spider Claw 5 Arrow Quiver
Rest: QAD Ultra HDX or Trophy Taker Smackdown Pro
    Stabilizer: B Stinger (6-8" range)
Sight: Black Gold - either the Rush for around $100 or the Vengenance if you want all the micro adjustments and extras

Whatever you choose, have fun putting it together!

Ive got same bow and here's my setup

    T-5 quiver from Mathews
    Trophy ridge react sight
    QAD hdx rest
    Doinker 6" stabilizer

There's a lot of quality accessories out there and most of it is personal preference but it makes it fun to make it how you want it. Good luck and welcome to bowhunting.

Best thing you can do is go to a mathews dealer and shoot the bow with different accessories.
I like AXT sights or My CBE is amazing. Axion makes great accessories for mathews bows.

I like it a lot. I'm probably not as picky as most people but I like how it shoots. What made me pick it the most is the short ata, I hunt out of ground blinds a lot.

Sounds good. I am so picky, I don't even know where to start. LOL I am also thinking of waiting until November until Mathews releases it's 2014 line.

Ha ha yea you could do that, haven't really heard much chatter on what the new line up is. I'd say if your able to hold off though they may habe something new you really like.

By saying picky I was meaning how it shoots, like backwall or smoothness of the draw. I usually just shoot couple different ones and if it feels good it feels good ha. I'd say once you get started though you'll figure the options out, there's always a lot of people on here for some good info.

Yeah, I would wait until Nov, for the new releases. But they all have solid suggestions. Me personally I wanted to go real light because I want to go spot n stalk out west eventually. So I went with my setup in my signature block. All in All my bow came out to be 4lbs 8oz with the quiver and arrows on.

Yeah I think that's what I'm going to do. I went and shot the ZXT, Creed and the Chill yesterday at my local retailer and I'm in love with the Creed. I had them both set at 28" and 65# and I must say when trying to draw back that ZXT it was stiff compared to the Creed it was like butter. As of right now I am set on the Creed especially since they have it for 899 instead of its regular 999. And I get 10% off all accessories and free range membership. Not a bad deal I must say. But I told the guy I would like to wait until the 2014 Line-Up releases and then I will make my decision. I will probably go back and shoot the Creed and the HeliM again since it's the only one I didn't shoot.
