Yea its pretty crazy how this thing got passed around. I've seen the pic pop up couple times on FB. I couldn't remember who did it on here though until just seeing this.

    Pretty awesome.

Caleb - I know the 1 picture was on the Chive. I'm not sure how to go about getting them the whole gallery. I'd just assume link them here..lol..

I get a kick out of some claiming this as their own and giving out the designs where you can obviously see they just used my list I put right here. They got quite a few interests / responses in it though.
    Have a look..

I've seen it a few times but didn't take a screenshot.

    I failed.

Yea..I'm not sure either. Just today they had an entire gallery on a backyard pond/pool thing some dude put in at his house. Made me think of this thread and BAM it had already worked it's way to the front again.

Those are definitely some interesting comments. Pretty obvious the ones who have never sat in a pourch swing and relaxed a little, meaning there's really no swinging involved. At least not enough to set yourself on fire.

    and........

They didn't post my comment. I'm guessing they don't want their readers to know where the idea came from?

Dave, thank you for posting this DIY project. My wife has directed that I complete this ASAP, so off to Home Depot I go! I do have a question about the fire pit itself. Was this a kit? Where did you get it? I like the different color/shades of the stones and would like to get the same kit. If not a kit, where did you get the stones and ring? Thanks again. This looks great and I can't wait to get mine up!

Thanks Mike - yes the firepit itself was a kit I got from Lowes. It came with the stones and the metal ring. I had to buy the base blocks seperate. I don't recall how much it was though. Hope your project goes good. Post some pics when you get it done. I would like to see it.
