XL Egghead here. Never use it for venison as it's just not worth doing all that work for a 6 minute cook. I don't eat venison roast just chops and steaks. We have been talking a lot lately about doing an entire hind quarter on my egg some day but until then my egg will just have to be one sweet smoker and and a wicked high heat grill.
