    Guys and gals,
I'm expanding my processing skills and would like to start making venison burger. I already make summer sausage, steaks and jerky. I am looking for something to mix for my burgers. If it was just me, I'd mix bacon ends with it, but my wife doesn't like/can't do bacon.
I'm just looking for suggestions to mix for some cohesiveness/light flavoring.
    Thanks.

ok I modified this recipe from food channel ... love it for burgers ....

    BACON CHEDDAR BURGER

    2 lbs ground venison
    1 egg
    6 strips of bacon
    1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    tablespoon garlic
    1 or 2 chopped shallots
    tablespoon parsley
    salt and pepper
1/4 to 1/3 cup shredded cheddar

cook the bacon crispy and grind or break up .... pour bacon grease in bowl and let cool .... in 1 tablespoon olive oil cook garlic and shallot for 3 to 4 minutes ...... MIX EGG AND ALL INGREDIENTS to include bacon grease then make into burgers ....

I freeze burgers and cook frozen for 12 minutes flipping every 4 minutes ... come out medium and tasty
