This recipe isn't wild game related but I had to pass it on. It is addictive!
    Dirty Crackers

2- 9oz bags of oyster crackers

1 1/3 Cups of Canola oil (must be Canola oil)

1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch Dry Seasoning

1 1/2 TB crushed red pepper

Mix it all together in a 1 gal. Ziploc bag. Mix occasionally for the next 24 hours. Best when served after 24 hrs of mixing.

It will be quite oilly if you try to eat sooner. Still tastes great when oilly but it needs a little time to soak into the crackers. It doesn't make the soggy. They are still quite crispy. These things ate absolutely addictive. Your friends and family will love them.

I am making it tonight. Took me longer in the grocery store than it took to make it.

A healthy snack? I would have some with soup or with a sandwich like chips I guess. I went with the premium oyster crackers so it have to be deluxe right?

Plus for a holiday potluck lunch, you make a double batch dump it in a bread basket with a cloth napkin, you made it yourself and it takes no time.

Yes it is. I have a venison recipe to go with it.
Bake either sweet potatoes or regular potatoes of your choice. Pull it out and mix with butter and 1/2 and 1/2 till creamy yet firm.
Put the completed mashed potatoes on a plate mash it flat. Add the dirty crackers in a layer of your choosing. Grill venison in a olive oil marinade of choice till rare put on a warm plate to rest for 3 minutes with a cover. Put the venison medallions over the dirty crackers with a carrot mushroom gravy on top. Serve with my sweet creamy bacon infused coleslaw as a side. That will stick to your ribs.
