My favorite is very simplistic: Pheasant & noodles. I slow cook the pheasant until it falls off the bone. Seperate pheasant from bone. Add chicken broth, canned potatoes, amish noodles and pheasant and finish cooking until satisfied.
A few years ago I was invited on a hunt on a game preserve. They were hunting pheasant and it was the first time I had ever seen one fly. I had been a quail hunter for many, many years but it was my first pheasant hunt. I brought home my kill and some other people gave my theirs. After a few weeks I decided to cook them. Not really knowing how, I wrapped some bacon around them and grilled them over charcoal. The South is known for being lovers of fried chicken. But after eating the pheasant I thought to myself if I could get pheasant anytime I wanted I would never eat fried chicken again. I would say the bacon and the grill is one good way to cook them.
