Well, the first ingredient is morels... this year I don't have any yet, so nothing to make. I like them sautéed in olive oil, nothing else. Eat them as a side or in some garlic butter pasta. I think they are best when made very simple.
I'm grilling some tonight with just olive oil and salt and pepper with the Cajun rubbed turkey breast I shot this AM. Just looking for something different. Although I do agree they are best when they get to speak for themselves.
I like to sautee them in a pan with olive oil until all of the water cooks out of them. Then I drizzle some soy sauce and right at the end I put in some butter to thicken the sauce.
I like to sautee them cut up some onion little butter, salt, pepper, pinch of garlic. An lay them right over the top of a big fat juicy ribeye!
Hmm. That soy sauce is something I hadn't thought of Tom... Have to give that a day in court. Grilled some more the night before last with just olive oil and some S&P along side a nice big salmon filet. HOLY WAH!!! GOOD STUFF
I make mushroom gravy with them. Just plain old milk gravy loaded heavy with the mushrooms. I like a good bit of black pepper in it as well.
Roll them in bisquik pancake batter. You never use anything else. Fry them as normal til golden brown. Tyler Rector BHOD prostaff
