I just got mine the other day and I fully intend on using it this weekend. Great weather, a Can Cooker and some Leinie's. Can't beat it.
They had a booth close to ours a couple years ago at a show. My mouth was watering the whole weekend. We got to clean up the leftovers at the end of each day. MMMMMMMMM Tasty!
There's no doubt it's an awesome way to cook up some food. I had a meal once with a group of guys, and we put all kinds of different types of venison in it as far as brats, weiners, bologna, etc, with various vegetables, and some Kool Aid. Yes, I said Kool Aid. All I can say is wow, that was some good stuff, and all we had to do is throw it all together, and throw it on the stove. I plan on getting one soon!
I have had a can cooker for a few years now and love it. One of my favorites is a A1 Roast Beef. Here is the Recipe 10 oz bottle A.1. Original Sauce 1/2 to 1 cup water (depending on if you add a little extra veggies) 1 pkg. (0.9 oz.) onion-mushroom soup mix 1 roast (2-1/2 lb.) Beef chuck eye roast for the Walmart hunters, Animal of choice for those that haven't lost their man card 1 lb. red new potatoes 1 pkg. (16 oz.) baby carrots 1 onion, thickly sliced 1 small package of mushrooms. olive oil If you and some friends want to eat like a man then just double it all. You will need the wire racks for the can cooker for this one but you can probably manage without it. Start off by getting some olive oil (vegetable is fine if that's all you got) and putting it in the bottom of the cooker and add the meat. You want to sear the meat on all sides but do not cook it. Just brown the outside and having good hot oil before adding the meat helps. Remove the meat wife the oil down all inside the cooker and remove any extra Add the racks add the meat back in add all the other stuff add the soup mix pour the sauce and water over the top add the lid and put on the heat. like always 20 minutes for steam for the right amount of heat then cook for a hour. It will fall apart and will taste amazing.
