Hey gents just curious to what everybody uses for bow/gear, I shoot hoyt but I'm not a 'fan boy' I appreciate all bows and gear from the simplest to the most complex,

Why do you use what you use?

    Here's my stuff:

    Hoyt carbon spyder turbo
    Truglo 5 pin/ 6 inch dovetail
    Trophy taker smackdown
    Bstinger hunter stab
Easton fmj's fletched with nap quickfletch
    Muzzy mx3's

For camo I use under armour ridge reaper

I shoot the CST cause it has a very solid backwall valley and with bad shoulders it's easier on em. And fmj's cause I like the reassurance that even if I make a bad shoot I'll still more then likely get a pass threw and ethical kill.

And I need to get a new rangefinder/ trail cams any advice on what's working for y'all would be great!

FYI....Most everyone's Signature on here contains what bow they shoot and the setup.

I have shot many bows in my life and I am partial to Mathews. I only like Single Cam bows. And IMO no one makes a better Single Cam bow than Mathews. It cracks me up when I see people on Youtube comparing Mathews Single Cam bows to another manufacturer's Dual Cam bows. And then trashing the Mathews bow. Be fair in your comparisons.

As far as clothing, I like Mathew's Gridlock and Mathew's Lost camo Scentblocker suits. I have a leafy camo suit I wear during the early season. I am going to try Sitka this year as I have heard nothing but Great things about them. I use Scent-Lok and Enduraskin as my base layers for additional scent control. I am trying Merino wool this Winter as a second base layer. I use HSS for my Safety equipment setup.(Harness, Tree strap and Lifeline).

I figured most of use tapatalk and can't see signatures so it would be helpful, mathews does by far make the best single cam bow out there I'll agree with ya on that! I like sitka a lot and the digi effect definitely works great at breaking up patterns, I can't recto switching now as last season I got a bunch of new under armour stuff that's still in great shape

My oldest boy likes the Mathews and my second son is a bowtech man. Myself and my youngest son like Hoyt. We all agree with on the same arrows, Axis.

How are those axis working for ya? I'm using fmj's but have been looking into the axis for deer and keeping my fmj's for elk

I have a 2013 Bear Encounter, Trophy Ridge Punisher 5-pin, Whisker Biscuit Kill Shot , 8" stabilizer, Cabela's Carbon Hunters, 28.5" with NAP Quick Fletch, and 100 grain MX-3.

I use it because it works for me. I'm very slow to make any major purchases, and when I do, I want something that will last. The Cabela's arrows work just fine for me.
I have a Real Tree Jacket, bibs, gloves and a facemask. I will wash all my stuff with DDW here in October, right before the season starts.

I have had both the Nikon Archer's Choice and the Bushnell Scout. I kept the Scout because I like that it was smaller and clearer compared to the Nikon.

I definitely agree with ya on waiting for major purchases, I shot an old pse for the longest time and saved I'll my pennies for all the new stuff I just got for this season!!

I have a set of the cabelas arrows to that I use for shooting at long ranges to make sure I'm hitting target before I use my fmj's and surprising I'm very impressed with the penetration I get from them in my old rinehart the penetrate about 5 inches

Devon8762, I love the sight. I too was debating spot hogg v. black gold. I am glad I got the black gold. I have it set up with 5 pins 20-60 yards. So when I am hunting here in the west I don't have to mess with it. But at the range I can quickly and easily adjust from 60 to 110 yards. I love it!
