Who else is waiting for the lakes to freeze so we can get out there on the hard water? Went to cabela's and got the rest of the stuff I "needed" for this season!

I love ice fishing but I don't have anyone to go with. I hate being out on the ice by myself especially since I'm very inexperienced and don't have a clue where to go and I hate going where everyone else is because I like to be away from the big groups.

http://www.lake-link.com/Minnesota-Fishing-Reports/ if you didn't know about it here you go, reports give lots of good info on the bite and where the fish are at! WI reports helped me a lot last year when I started fishing the winnebago system!

Was at the ice expo in St Paul yesterday. Go every year and was a pretty good time. Cousin bought a new 16' ice castle this off season so we're itching to get that out.

We just over hauled our 16' enclosed trailer for a drop down ice shack and are chomping at the bit to get out. Just bought a new frabill one man yesterday to! Ice better come soon. Time to travel north till I find ice if it's not coming to me.

You have bigger balls than me. I heard 3 inches is safe to walk on but I would need at least 6.

I love ice fishing!!! I had a otter cabin insulated shanty. Used my big buddy heater. Can get the Temps inside the shanty almost up to 70f. I have a little now and can't really go out until she gets older.

I bought the otter 1200 denier lodge last year and LOVE it! Got the frabill this year for early ice and running and gunning because that otter is so darn heavy if your pulling by hand.

I just guaranteed there will be no ice this year. I just bought 5 new tip ups and a new rod.

Just fishing for sunfish. We weren't far out from shore because of ice conditions.

Heading to red lake this weekend if the ice holds up (sounds like they have at least 6in in most places) - Expect to limit out on walleyes each day.
