1st bird of 2012 Well I have the points entered on the score card team! and heres my story!...First was my annual trip down to kansas which would take place the 4th-10th of april. anticiaption was high for me as i filmed members of my group filling there tags and after 3 days everyone had there tags filled and it was my turn up to bat! lets just say after some very bad luck with cows, coyotes, airplanes cropdusting fields (and my decoys), and uncooperative turkeys my trip turned up nothing for me! Never had a lack of birds just plain bad luck and never did even pull back my bow!So the afternoon of the 10th I drove 11 hours back home to wi only to wake up 2 hours later for my season here....the first morining was perfect with birds roosted right where they were supposed to be, crisp, clear, calm! 3 toms, a jake, and 10 hens flew down within 100 yds of the decoys! I thought to my self done deal....only to find out that 5 minutes later when they were at 67 yds....a problem neighbor decides to chase them away with his pickup honking the horn and drving through the field!...the second morning brought only a distant gobble! So i decided to go to an old honey hole that I have not been to in 5 years...i set up where i used to and waited...right off the bat I had two lone gobblers roosted 60-70 yds behind me gobbling there heads off at my tree yelps i was giving them! 20 minutes later I heard a blast of wind over the blind and the first tom flew right out in front of me at 50 yds and ran right into my setup where i put a great shot on the tom at 12 yds with my new mathews helim and got it all on film! It was a great hunt and it could not have worked out any better! 19 lb 7 oz, 11" beard and matching 1" spurs Your score is 19.4375 + 10 + 10 + 22 = 61.4375
Awesome job. Hopefully this storm and wind doesn't ruin tomorrow for me I only get 5 days here Sent from my LG-E739 using Tapatalk 2
