Most of our club land is in Winston county. I've dropped a couple does. The rut is on right now where our trophy property is at. Seeing some nice bucks in the area being taken past few days.
The rut usually starts to pick up here around the last week of december. Im hoping the temperature will drop a bit during that time too. otherwise i may have to switch over to public land like i did last year.
well still no luck for me, but my cousin went on our land and killed a nice 9 pt with a rifle. Haven't had anything but a young 8 and 6 pt on cameras so he must of just been wandering.
Couple club members had some luck on our trophy property in the bankhead area. Looks like the rut is kicking off farther north up in these parts though.
Does anyone hunt in the Talledega area of Clay County? Just picked up a really nice lease in that are, 5 miles out of Millerville. I was curious as to what time of the year the rut kicks off.
Congrats black! I finished with 4 does, 3 of em with my bow. Work was unusually busy during prime hunting time so I didn't get a lot of opportunities.
That's great I had a horrible bow season didn't really have much to shoot at. I ended up with 8 total all with rifle
I killed 1 doe with a bow. Saw some deer, but nothing worthy of an arrow. This was the slowest Alabama season I've ever had.
