    Hey Guys,
Last year I planted my first food plot. Its a small quarter acre in the woods type plot. I planted a mix of Clover, small burnett, and chicory. It also had a small percentage of 2 types of alphapha. As a cover crop I planted Buck Forage Oats that grew amazing but died off quickly.

My question is, Once fall hit the plot got covered with leaves. Come sprint should I rake the plot clean before growing season starts? Leaf Blower? or just leave it be?

When I first planted the plot last year I put down a bag of 12-12-12 The plot grew to about 4-5 inches tall which is what the guy told me it would grow to about since the first year is mostly root growth.

I'm just looking at what I should be doing to make sure the plot comes back again this year but grow more above ground now that it is the 2nd year.

rake mine off and frost seed clover where I want clover. At a minimum I would rake the leaves off.

Funny how small that food plot seems until you go to rake it.

I raked a plot that will get frost seeded next month today and put a little lime down. I can't agree more.
