A few weeks ago it was very spotty and looked like this. Was pretty happy to find out this is how it looks now. I also put urea down this weekend to help them take off more. Hopefully they really take off.
We overseeded one of our brassica plots...honestly what you call spotty is perfect for maximum bulb production...I venture to guess you're gonna have some HUGE turnips.
Well I somewhat regret overseeding mine a few weeks ago. It is a little thick in spots now. Oh well. I'll take it however.
Amen brother...as I am sure PastorAndrew will attest to...it takes a few years to get the hang of it, I'm still perfecting the art of not overseeding the itty bitty seeds.
Yeah I am not all that great at it either. It just always seems like there isn't going to be enough when you poor it in the spreader.
yeah for sure, two years ago I hand broadcast close to ten acres worth of plots! lol lots of fast paced walking and cranking. I set it on the smallest possible setting, or even leave it closed if they will fall through the small crack depending on seeder. I broke my favorite seeder last year and have ruined three of the 7 dollar jobs since. the one I had was a cheap one but bought it close to ten years ago, must of been merican made! the new china ones aren't real special! lol
