I got decent gemination going on. Hoping for a bit more as I overseeded some of the bare spots and we got rain yesterday. I'll be putting some urea down on it in about 2 weeks. If there are still bare spots I'll prob put some peas, winterrye in there.
The rain we just got last night combined with my overseeing I'm hoping will help a lot. It was so dry up there
Looking good! Putting in food plots and taking care of them is almost as fun as hunting. Helps get you to the next season.
Growing great. Some have grown 16" or more! The real test will be if they make it through their first winter/spring.
They wouldn't grow unless the roots have taken hold so it sounds like they are doing great. Do you have plans to use dormant spray or mulch over the winter? EDIT: Oh, and I'm sure you already know this but when you notice them slow down and starting to go dormant, stop feeding them fertilizer (if you even are) or they could try to bud again and the cold could do some major damage to the entire tree.
Looks good Brad we would like to have you and your family over for a grill out. Let us know when you will be in town next.
