Man, this is the first year in many that I haven't sat staring at my phone and radar screens praying for rain and wondering how the heck my planting dates triggered a freakin record dry spell LOL.

I'm actually hoping it will lighten up a bit now. There is rain all over western NY and it's sad to say but my ever cautious mind is starting to wonder if it's too much.

Oh well.........the thunder is rolling and the rain is falling as I type this so I hope my seeds are as happy as I am.

Come on rain! I am sure the seeds are drinking it in.

The rain is actually preventing me from getting my plots finished here in Ohio

It has been a great growing year already. Hopefully the rain stays throughout the summer and makes our plots nice and lush for fall.

Yeah I could use a nice two week gap in the end of August to get a few plots tilled up and planted.

We've missed plenty of storms by only a few miles. I watched several storms this year just barely miss us. Rain is needed here.

After a record wet June, we haven't had much rain at all in July... Those in MN, I think this would be a good weekend to get your plots in (heavy rain forecasted next week)!

I'm going to seed next weekend. We have a very wet first half of the summer but the last couple of weeks have been pretty dry. I'm hoping we get some more rain first half of August......

I think we have gotten plenty of rain since I planted on July 19. Hopefully it is not flooded out. I'll be checking on Saturday.

OK.........now I'm getting a bit nervous. It's been raining A LOT around here lately and there is standing water in many areas. Time for the sun to come out and dry things up and drop some energy on those seeds. Hope we aren't getting washed out.

I have another week to 2 weeks before I plant my brassicas. Hoping when I'm able to plant it'll rain!

Went out and looked at my plots on Saturday. Drier than a popcorn fart at this point. Need a couple days of good soaking rain to get things back on track.
