I'm asking mainly for my lawn. Been crazy busy with the kids sports and I need to fertilize and lime my yard but I hate to wait the 2 weeks it takes to get the results back from a soil test. Is there any test kits that are fairly accurate?
I know of a instant(well get results in 20 minutes) PH tester kit, but that wont help you with fertilizer requirements.
Antler King has a ph tester kit. 15$ and you get 4 little strips. My advise is buy the Food Plot Starter sample box for 5$ more(20$) and get 2 more ph tests(6 total) and a whole bunch of seed to try,2 spray products and a DVD. Basically all you do is take about a cup of dirt. Mix in DISTILLED WATER (has to be distilled) to a milk shake thickness about and wait 20 minutes stirring occasionally. Then dip in the litmus strip into the cup, wipe off the dirt and compare it to the color chart provided. Gives you a idea of the PH you got.
