What is your 2014 to do list on things you want to get done?

I have my work cut out for me (us). When am I going to have time to have a campfire?
    Mine:

    • Move and set up stands
    • Hinge Cut bedding area by pond
    • Clear New walking trail to connect ATV trails to new walking trails
    • Put up new driveway Gate
    • Plant Apple Trees
    • Cut Large trees on south sides of Food plots to get more sun on plots
    • Clear area for new food plot.
    • Move Box Blind to a better location.
    • Make Existing Hinge cut bigger into soft woods and add small trails within to make it easier for deer to get in and out of the hinge cut.
    • Paint treated wood on elevated blinds
    • Split fire wood for next fall.
    • Spring- frost seed food plots with annual red clover and oats
    • Fall – soil test and plant fall plots

I have a new hunting property I will be focusing on this year. We are going to plant a rather large food plot there. Between this place and my main hunting property, I have a few things I want to get done before Spring is over.

    * Scout new property
    * Hang a 2 new Lock-On Stand and 2 new Ladder Stands
    * Plant Apple Trees and Persimmon Tree
    * Soil test for Soybeans I am planting this year.
    * Locate Bedding areas of deer
    * Hang 5 new trailcams
    * Start 3 new MonsterRaxx mineral sites
    * Continue working out so I can lose 30 lbs by the beginning of Summer.

Brad I didn't see pack and drive down to the GTG on your list. Better add that!

Fergie, I hope to make it but I have a lot to do and if we have a late spring again it will put me behind the 8 ball. I’ll do my best but getting stuff done up north is my top priority.

Work up last years plot and get a cover crop in there.
Break in a new plot, and begin my crop rotation.
Find the best possible place to get my dad a deer this year.
Create a funnel area through an awesome corridor that connects bedding.
Actually hold a shooter buck on our farm again.

Okay where do areI start? I own/run a small lawn care business along with working a full time job, but one benefit is that one of my customers is the biggest landowners in Michigan with 20000 + acres so with that said I have alot of ground to cover/work
    *build a elevated blind/suite
    *plant food plots
*buy more and more cams (covert)
    *get more into turkey/pheasant hunting
    *mineral sites
*develope a couple man made water holes with alot of luck???
*set, clear, cut for at least 3 more stands
*and I also sell and heat with wood so cut wood
*it sounds/looks long but honestly I am anxiously awaiting it

Fill the list in the Lambs Book of Life thread. Link in signature.

Get Drawn for Elk in the Fall and be able to hunt with my son.
Total brain overload with a 2014 to do list... just take it one step at a time. So many things to do.

Get some more stands set up
Decide if its worth it to put in a food plot
Clear some trees to open up some shooting lanes
Try to talk my buddy who owns ground into letting me build a decent elevated box blind, getting tired of buying ground blinds every year
    Scout, scout, and scout
    Shoot bow more
    Get some more trail cams
Clear some trail and improve existing trails in hopes the deer will walk where I want them too (reaching right, they never go where u want ha)
Try to get a hold of the neighbors ground for more hunting
    Did I say scout

Pretty much need to make the ground I hunt more active during late season. Past couple years once crops are harvested activity slows way down. But there's nothing to bring them in so that's what I'm trying to figure out with the potential food plot.

-Find a good gun my son can shoot and watch him kill something.
-cut some limbs around my box stand.
-Try to find the foodplot mix I used this fall, it worked great.
-Be in the woods as much as possible before everything starts getting greening up.
-Prep some more ground for a farming idea, which then will be over seeded with something.
    -shoot a bunch of yotes.
-Decide which out of state hunts in going on. (Start saving.)

You werent on MI out of Doors for a squirrel contest were you? Think there was an Eric West if I remember correctly on last night's episode...

    My List:

Pickup Ohio Lease and everything that goes along with getting a new out of state hunting spot.(Alot)

Narrow down my hunting spots in MI, and spend more time/focus on the good spots.

Pull stands hanging in the woods still, and re set all new sets in the right spots.

I would like to attempt some small food plots, but do not know how feasible this is as I own none of the land I hunt....except the Mount Pleasant spot we have multiple plots on...just dont make it up there enough.
