There's nothing better than hunting a food plot you worked hard to put in and watching deer using it! I hunted this plot a couple days ago and wanted to share some pics. We planted corn soybeans this spring. Then spread turnips into the standing beans the end of July. We followed up and planted another area with a mix of clover, winter rye, AWP's, and radishes in mid August.

In total we have about 1.5 acres planted in this plot. We are happy the way it turned out, especially with limited equipment. We did this all with an four-wheeler, spring tooth drag, and a sprayer. Its seeing good use by many does and fawns right now, and I believe it's because of the wide variety that we planted. Hopefully the bucks will come looking for the ladies in a few weeks!

Looks great. Sometimes the planting and planning are as much fun as the hunt itself.

    Good luck.

They look great, nice work guys. I'm looking forward to my second attempt with a greater emphasis on weed control.
